The Breakfast for Champions is an event held to recognize and present scholarships to high school seniors who are making a difference in their community through volunteer efforts and/or school and civic involvement. Scholarships are provided from the Front Porch Trust which was created in 2005 by the Paoli 250 Anniversary Committee and the Paoli Business & Professional Association.

The Paoli 250 Committee, in conjunction with the PBPA, created the Front Porch Trust Scholarship Fund in 2005 to recognize and reward students who are making a difference in our community through volunteer efforts, and/or school and civic involvement. Six scholarships are awarded to deserving seniors at Great Valley and Conestoga High Schools. Selection of winners is based on their school and community work, as well as a written essay related to the Margaret Mead quote, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

On May 2nd, all participating students and their parents are invited to attend the Breakfast For Champions at Paoli Hospital, our host for breakfast. Penn Liberty Bank is again graciously willing to be the lead event sponsor. We are appealing to local businesses and individuals to support the Front Porch Trust Scholarship Fund, with a tax deductible donation of any amount. All donors will be listed in the breakfast program. Anyone contributing $250 or more will also be offered a business display table at the breakfast.
