PBPA Mourns Passing of Dr. Ted Hill

Dr. Ted Hill

Theodore L. Hill, Jr. D.D.S., age 82 of Paoli, PA died on September 26, 2016.

Ted was born on December 19, 1933 in Greenville, SC to the late Theodore L. Hill and Edith Hoke. He was a graduate of St. Andrews Episcopal High School, Franklin Marshall College, and Temple University Dental School, where he was ROTC. Ted was a veteran of the US Navy, where he was also a dentist.

He was retired from private practice as a general dentist in Paoli, PA for 45 years. Currently he was teaching Dentistry at Temple University. Ted was a member of American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry (Fellow), and the Academy of Stomatology.

Ted enjoyed tennis, paddle tennis, crossword puzzles. He owned his own sailboat for 40 years and sailed in the Chesapeake Bay. He also enjoyed hiking, camping and fly fishing and was a member of Wantastiquet Trout Club since 1969. Ted was a member of The Church of the Good Samaritan for 35 years, where he was in the vestry and a bible study leader. He was the beloved husband of Lana Platt Hill.

Schneider; Brother of Edith Rowland; Brother-In-Law of David Rowland; Grandfather of Sam Cristol-Hill, Ray Cristol-Hill, Miriam E. Herbek, and Julian Herbek; Step Grandfather of Sarah N. Schneider, Amanda L. Schneider, and Franchesca B. Sulli, Christopher Wagner, Benjamin Wagner, Grayson Wagner, Hobart Rowland, and David Rowland.

SERVICES:
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ted’s life celebration service on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11am at The Church of the Good Samaritan, 212 West Lancaster Avenue Paoli, PA 19301, where friends may visit from 10-11am. Interment at the adjoining cemetery with a Reception following in Ashton Hall.
